So what's best in the BlackBerry?

Well, we tested it on a Bold 9700 and I must say that Opera's browser really wowed me at first use.

It's flashy, everything is where you want it to be and it handles almost any page you can throw at it, compared to the BB option which is somewhat drab in design and function. Opera packs a speedy page generation and stable browsing environment. BlackBerry on the otherhand offers fluid integration with it's own OS through sending links to your social networking apps.

But it's really like comparing a Bugatti Veyron with a Fiat Bravo. The 500 is beautiful and the Bugatti is butt ugly, but the Bugatti eats the Bravo for bio-fuel.

So which one is the Bugatti? BlackBerry's browser. It's fast, the mouse/trackpad works seemlessly, the bookmarks and history are fine, the start-up speed is faster than the Opera browser and it integrates well with the rest of the platform.

My verdict: The Opera Mini browser for Blackberry is pretty, but BlackBerry's browser does the job. Keep Opera in your "Applications" folder for those rare times when the BB browser fails to load a page.
