This just made it's way onto my oak countertop. Nokia's alrounder is looking to keep the lead and impress as the must-have business phone for 2010. Does it do it? Well we'll have to see. After playing around with it last night I was completely sold on the keyboard and features. The spacebar is a dedicated torch "switcher-onner" and there are handy dedicated punctuation keys for fullstop, apostrophe and "@" sign for email addresses - all of these really appealed to me. Cool features like business card reader and voice operation stick in my mind as things that set the UI apart. And yet I woke up this morning a bit reluctant to go ahead and do the full review. I'm boiling it down to the "look" of the operating system, and realising how important a good looking interface is nowadays. The Nokia is better equipped, better built and generally superior to the iPhone and BlackBerry 9700 which I use frequently, but these handsets excite me more. Well, I cant #FAIL this device because I'm not intrigued by the "feel" of it. In the next few days I will make it mine and see how it goes. Summary: Wait and see policy applies... |
