Here lies the beast. Samsung stick to their guns and deliver a faster, slicker Omnia.

The Omnia is great. Fast, multimedia powerhouse and customisable to the n-th degree. So why do I hate it so much?

It's that damn menu system that Samsung install on all their phones with those blasted widgets. They're just messy. You have to drag a widget to make use of it and if the phone is lagging it takes a bit of time and may not work at all. Furthermore, they overlap! So on that small screen you have to deal with widgets all over each other. It's like swimming at North Beach on new year's day... cramped.

To give them credit, it is a lovely phone. Delivering all that's needed for business and fun. the camera is great, the Samsung music player is pretty cool and sound quality is good.

But, honestly, for that price I'd rather get an iPhone.
