Now Nokia are hellbent on sticking with Symbian and building a phone that is similar to the technological leaders (although they are the overall leaders). The reason they have lost "cred" in my eyes is that they have watered down their original passion for great mobile devices. Remember the days of wacky cutting edge touch-screen multimedia devices and circular keypads?

I always loved Sony Ericsson phones for not being afraid to test the market with wierd and quirky ideas. Eventually some of these ideas would stick and the quirkiness would be seen as "character" and only assist in developing brand loyalty.
